Hull's First Community Owned and Run Pub

The New Clarence is owned by a co-operative - The Hull Community Pub Society.   The Society has over 500 members and is democratically run.

The Society formed in order to keep The New Clarence in use as a community venue after it was at risk of being turned into residential accommodation.

The New Clarence is a unique venue in Hull city centre.  It has a function room (which is in need of renovation) a kitchen and a beer garden.  It is also one of the most accessible pubs with a function room in the area.

The Society will soon be launching a fundraising campaign to make the first floor function room fully accessible.

Information about the Society can be found here.
